Kilmartin Museum
Opened in 1997, the Kilmartin Museum on Scotland’s west coast desperately needed an overall. The exhibition had outgrown the buildings, the education and research spaces were not fit for purpose, and the visitor experience was suffering. Kilmartin was also unable to take loans of artefacts from other museums, as it did not meet required standards.

Testimony 360 – People & Places of the Holocaust is a free digital education programme, devised by Holocaust Educational Trust, that combines eyewitness survivor testimony with virtual reality, to enable the charity to continue educating pupils about the Holocaust even once all survivors have passed.

Around 20% of all police-recorded crime is related to violence against women and girls. Yet while healthcare settings are often the first place that victims seek help, referrals to specialist domestic abuse services from healthcare professionals were low.

Oxfam believes that supporting women’s rights organisations is one of the best ways to alleviate poverty. In late 2020, the charity designed and implemented the first Women’s Rights Fund (WRF) pilot in Kenya and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, before launching it in Lebanon in 2024 and Nepal this year.

Street Talk provides specialist outreach mental health support for women who are on the street through sex work or trafficking, in order to help them overcome a lifetime of complex trauma.
