Paul Parker
Paul Parker has been recording clerk of Quakers in Britain since 2011, the most senior staff member for a small but very active faith community with a passion for peace and social justice. He is responsible for their national organisation, which supports the Quaker worshipping community and activists, and works on peace, equalities, climate and social justice issues on their behalf.
Paul also chairs the Civil Society Voice network, a group of sector leaders with a shared concern for protecting civil society’s ability to campaign, advocate and protest, and generally to hold power to account.
A former teacher and school leader, Paul is a keen amateur musician, nature lover and a slow but determined cyclist, often with a tent and a sleeping bag in his panniers.
