Daniel Phelan Award
The Daniel Phelan Award for Outstanding Achievement
Each year an award is presented to an individual, who has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the charity sector. The recipient of the Award is chosen by our esteemed judging panel and consequently we don’t accept entries in this category.
In 2015, following the death of Civil Society Media and Charity Awards founder, Daniel Phelan, WaterAid CEO Barbara Frost was presented with the first-ever Outstanding Achievement Award to be named eponymously in Dan’s memory.
The Charity Awards remind us of the true purpose of our year-round journalistic vigilance and diligence. This is to foster an environment where the best efforts of charities can result in the best outcomes for society.
